Hyderabad: Light to moderate Rainfall forecast for next seven days

Hyderabad: During the past one week, Southwest Monsoon remained active over Telangana state with excess to large excess by +129% over the state as a whole. Under the influence of Low pressure system over Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood and subsequently concentrated into Depression, light to moderate Rain occurred at most places with heavy rainfall at a few places and very heavy rain at isolated places over Khammam, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Jayashankar-Bhupalpally, Adilabad, Komrambhem-Asifabab, Mancherial, Peddapalle and Mahabubabad during 11-12 August and again during 16-17 August over Adilabad, Komrambhem-Asifabab, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Jagtial, Rajanna-Sircilla, Peddapalle districts.

The highest rainfall of 293.8mm recorded at Dandepalle (Mancherial) on August 12 and 237.8mm at Ichoda (Adilabad) on August 17 during the week.

Forecast for next week

The present Monsoon conditions over the state indicate, the ongoing rainfall activity is expected to reduce during the next one week. With the expected formation of low pressure system over north Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood around August 19, rainfall activity may improve slightly over north and eastern districts for subsequence three days. Overall rainfall activity is likely to be normal during the next one week over the state.

August 18 to 24 : Hyderabad, Vikarabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Wanaparthy, Siddipet, Yadadri-Bhongiri, Jangaon, Jogulamba-Gadwal, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Warangal (U), Warangal (R), Mahabubabad, Khammam,Nalgonda, Suryapet. Light to Moderate rainfall at a few places.

Adilabad, Komrambhem-Asifabab, Mancherial, Peddapalle, Jagtial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Rajanna-Sircilla, Karimnagar, Jayashankar-Bhupalpally, Bhadradri-Kothagudem. Light to Moderate rainfall at many places.(NSS)
