Declares CM Modi, No Villages In Gujrat

New Delhi, September 29: It is unimaginable in a predominantly rural, launched in India. However, there are villages in Gujarat, if one believes minister Narendra Modi.

This is recorded in the minutes of the “Conference of Chief Ministers of States and Chief Justices of High Courts. Although the conference was held last month, the report prepared by the judiciary and approved by the ministry of the law recently uploaded to the official website of the Supreme Court.

Comments Modi find mention under the heading “The practical application of Gram Nyayalayas, a project very dear Molly Veerappan Minister of Justice, which considers it one of the best ways to reach the justice system at the gates of the poor litigants.

Only two senior ministers – Sheila Dikshit and Delhi Modi – said there are no villages in the territory under the administrative control of their governments.

Dikshit may have been correct when he informed the Conference that “in the strict sense (strictly), there is no rural area of New Delhi” as the people of New Delhi have been consumed by rapid urbanization.

But what was attributed to Modi in the minutes was incredible. He said: “The prime minister of Gujarat, while agreeing in principle to the establishment of Gram Nyayalayas, said no people in the state of Gujarat and therefore implementation of Nyayalayas may not be a viable proposition .

“He, however, stressed the need for mobile courts effective dispensing of justice in place of Gram Nyayalayas at the grassroots level,” the minutes showed.

Molly had recently told TOI in an interview that he wanted to implement the first batch of Gram Nyayalayas (village courts) on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2 October. It’s just a paradox that the chief minister of the state where Gandhi was born, had a different idea on the implementation of the Gram Nyayalayas.
