Alleging that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was criticizing the Centre only to hide his mistakes, Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has opined that division of the High Court issue should be solved in case both Telugu states Chief Ministers sat at one place.
Dattatreya had a meeting with the Governor ESL Narasimhan on Saturday at Raj Bhavan here. He discussed with the Governor on present political situation and on the division of the High Court.
Speaking to the media later, Dattatreya said that he shared his views with the Governor on the division of the High Court. The Minister said he conveyed the situation prevailed in Hyderabad to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Law Minister Sadananda Gouda. He said they assured him that there won’t be any discrimination in ‘option’ issue. He said Rajnath Singh spoke to both the Chief Ministers. He informed that he urged the Governor to initiate steps to see that the suspension on Judges be removed. The Centre has no rule in the issue of division of the High Court, he said, opining that the Chief Ministers have to resolve the problem themselves across the table. He said the Centre was ready to solve the problems if any in this regard.
Condemning the “attack” on BJP senior leader Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Dattatreya alleged that the attack on Nagam shows the political inefficiency of the TRS party. (NSS)
