Damodar asks TRS as to why people should vote for it

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former deputy chief minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Friday asked the ruling TRS party leaders on what basis and achievements they were urging the people to ensure the victory of 16 MPs without talking about their achievements in the last five years. He asked the TRS whether it had provided reservations to Muslims, tribals and achieved national project status to Kaleswaram left irrigation project.

Rajanarasimha said 175 farmers were contesting from Nizamabad Lok Sabha with the sole intention of defeating the ruling party. Citing the grand victory of party leader T. Jeevan Reddy as MLC, he called upon the party workers and leaders to draw inspiration from his victory and work hard for victory of the party MPs in the upcoming elections. He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had taken away the waters of Singur dam to Nizamabad for his daughter’s political benefit.

Targetting Zaheerabad TRS party candidate B B Patil, Damodar alleged that the ruling party leader did not spend even a single rupee from his MPLAD funds so far and urged the people to vote for the Congress candidate.
