Hyderabad, December 22: Andhra Pradesh government has enhanced the dearness allowance to its employees by 5.99 per cent with retrospective effect from July 1 this year. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today signed the relevant file consequent to which the DA component will increase from the present 29.96 per cent to 35.95 per cent, a press release from the CMO said.
The DA enhancement will cost the exchequer Rs 116.42 crore a month, while the annual financial burden will be to the tune of Rs 1,397 crore, the release added.
