Raipur: A CRPF jawan was on Saturday injured in a pressure bomb blast triggered by Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, police said.
The incident occurred this morning when a team of 74th battalion of Central Reserve Police Force was on its way for security duty at Chintalnar weekly market, Sukma Superintendent of Police D Shrawan told PTI.
Ahead of the weekly market, a constable accidentally came in contact with a pressure bomb planted by the Maoists that exploded injuring him, Shrawan said.
“The jawan sustained minor injuries on his legs in the incident,” the SP said.
Soon after the incident, security forces rushed the injured jawan to a local hospital where his condition was said to be stable, he added.
