Crowd blocks convoys of Lalu, Sahay and Tytler

Chapra (Bihar), April 10: Angry over long power cuts, local people today blocked the convoy of RJD chief Lalu Prasad and that of senior Congress leaders Subodh Kant Sahay and Jagdish Tytler at separate places here.

Blaming political leaders for their plight, hundreds of people first intercepted the convoy of AICC Bihar in-charge Jagdish Tytler and Union food processing minister Subodh Kant Sahay near the railway station in Chapra town, police sources said.

The two were on way to Siwan to attend a function when they were stopped though police finally persuaded the crowd to clear the road and allow the convoy to pass.

As Prasad’s convoy, on way to Gopalganj, later reached the place it was again stopped for nearly one hour.

The RJD chief, a Lok Sabha member from the area (Saran), could resume his journey only after promising to do the needful.
