CPI activists burns Modi’s effigy

Hyderabad, October 06: The activists of Communist Party of India’s organisation Awaaz on Wednesday burnt the effigies of Gujarat Chief Minister Narender Modi near Charminar demanding release of IPS officer Sanjeev Bhat.

Awaaz’s president Asharf Ali said that the organisation have burnt Modi’s effigies at 50 places across Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. He alleged that Modi was trying to victimise the secular officials and bureaucrats who were brave enough to speak the truth against him. He requested the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to intervene and ensure that the officials like Sanjeev Bhat and their families get adequate security.

Awaaz would be holding week-long demonstrations against Narendra Modi. (INN)
