Rishikesh (Uttarakhand), November 22: An old couple have been killed in a road accident at Ranipokhari area here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when the scooter on which 60-year-old Adesh Pant and his 55-year-old wife Pushpa were riding was hit by an unidentified vehicle from behind.
Both of them fell down and their heads collided against a wall. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were declared brought dead.
A case against the driver of the unidentified vehicle has been registered, police said.
