Hyderabad, April 17: The East Zone Commissioner’s Task Force have busted a counterfeit racket and arrested one person here.
On recieving information, the task force conducted raid on a mobile shop located at the busy Abids in the city and apprehended Zaheer Ali Khan, who illegally implanted counterfeit IMEI Numbers in China-made mobiles by charging Rs 200 to 300, police said in a release here.
One computer, IMEI charger, one spimderman software with data cable and a cell phone was seized from him, police said.
The 31-year-old accused, who studied up to 10th class and discontinued his studies, learned mobile phone mechanism and established a mobile shop at the busy Abids business market area in the city, the release added.
