The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee on Sunday suspended former MP Sircilla Rajaiah from the party.
Rajaiah has been suspended following his arrest in the mysterious death of his daughter-in-law Sarika and her children in a fire incident at their residence in Hanamkonda on November 4. TPCC Chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy made the announcement of Rajaiah’s suspension while speaking to media persons here on Sunday. Rajaiah was replaced with Sarve Satyanarayana as party’s candidate in Warangal by-elections after the incident.
Rajaiah, his wife Madhava and son Anil Kumar have been arrested by the police on the charges of dowry harassment and abetting Sarika to suicide. They are now lodged in Warangal Central Jail. (INN)
