MBT welcomes defeat of Hindutva forces in Bihar elections

The Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) has welcomed the humiliating defeat of Hindutva forces in the Bihar Assembly Elections whose results were declared on Sunday.

In a media statement, MBT Leader Amjed Ullah Khan (Ex Corporator) said that the people of Bihar have protected Secularism by voting in favour of Grand Alliance “Mahaghatbandhan” comprising of JD (U), RJD and Congress (I) party. He congratulated Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi for playing an active role in uniting all the secular forces in Bihar. Further, he praised RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for making a big sacrifice to save secularism by accepting Nitish Kumar’s candidature for the Chief Minister’s post. While congratulating Nitish Kumar, he advised him to stick with Secular forces and never repeat the mistake of aligning with BJP or its allies again.

MBT leader Amjed Ullah Khan also praised the people of Bihar for rejecting the MIM which entered the fray to divide the Muslim vote so as to benefit the BJP candidates. He said despite tall claims and full support from BJP-sponsored media, the MIM has failed to make an impression on six seats which it contested in Seemanchal region. He said that MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has tried hard to polarise the elections to create a wave in favour of BJP and its allies. However, the Muslims of Bihar deserve a pat for understanding the real intentions of MIM and rejecting their candidates. He said that the MIM had selectively fielded candidates from seats which were highly crucial for the BJP.

The MBT leader Amjed Ullah Khan, who had extensively campaigned for RJD, JD (U) and Congress candidates during the elections, said that the results have exposed the real faces of Asad Uddin Owaisi and Akbar Uddin Owaisi. He said that the MBT was successful in foiling the MIM’s attempt to divide Muslim votes by making tall claims. (INN)
