Congress resorting to dual standards, Mahakotami nominees will lose deposits: Vinod

Hyderabad: TRS MP B Vinod Kumar today accused the Congress party of adopting dual standards and will lose deposits in the coming elections.

Talking to mediapersons in Warangal, Vinod said TPCC Chief N Utham Kumar Reddy was getting ready for the polls by forging an alliance with the TD, the arch-rival of the Congress. On the other hand, Another Congress leader Marri Sashidhar Reddy was opposing the elections vehemently, he wondered. He wondered that the Indian National Congress party was scratching its brains whether to oppose or welcome the elections. While TPCC chief Utham’s team was trying to sort out the seats sharing with the allies, Marri Sashidhar Reddy was relentlessly moving Election Commission and courts against the voters list and related issues, he said.

Despite the Opposition parties coming together, the people are with the ruling party, he felt. The people, he said, will defeat the Congress and its allies for stalling growth and conspiring against Telangana development and projects. Vinod Kumar claimed that it was the TRS Government that launched Rythu Bandhu scheme giving Rs 4000 per acre and Rs 5 lakh insurance under Rythu Bhima scheme, he said, adding that no other State government in the past got such an idea towards farmers’ welfare. TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao was first CM to conceive an idea to help the distressed farmers in order to prevent their suicides.
