Congress presentation “foolish”; Districts draft notification tomorrow: KCR

Draft notification for delimitation of districts will be released on Monday, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said.

Addressing the media after Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat here on Saturday, the Chief Minister said a special Assembly session will be conducted in September first week to approve the GST Bill passed by Parliament besides talking to Chief Justice on the bifurcation of the High Court. KCR said the draft was not final and the government has taken note of the suggestions made by the all-party leaders. The delimitation is for the people who should know about the need for more districts for administration ease and speedy disposal of issues KCR stated. Referring to irrigation projects the government will sign agreement with Maharashtra on Aug 23 he said.

KCR took potshots at the Congress party’s power point presentation which lacks common sense on the irrigation projects. The Congress was indulging in opposing development in a foolish manner. Three Congress chief ministers like Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, K Rosaiah and N Kiran Kumar Reddy had conveniently ignored the projects in Telangana region. As a long-term objective, the TRS Government was for irrigating one crore acres through speedy completion of the projects, KCR remarked. Law and order will be maintained firmly with regard to gangster Nayeem or others, he said.

Stating that division will be not done for DCCB and DCMS until its time period was over, the Chief Minister said urban mandals with 1.50 lakh population, rural mandals with 35,000 population will be formed. (NSS)
