Aruna slams TRS govt for not hearing Gadwal people’s plea

Congress MLA DK Aruna has alleged that the TRS government was not lending its ears to the demand of the people of the Gadwal constituency to make the new district in the name of Gadwal.

On Saturday, Congress leaders held a meeting at Gandhi Bhavan to discuss on the issue. They discussed as to what to speak on behalf of Congress party in the all-party meeting, which was held at Secretariat in the evening. Later speaking to the media, DK Aruna reminded that the Congress party won the election in Gadwal and Alampur constituencies and hence the government was not taking the demand of Gadwal people into consideration. She warned that she will take up fast unto death hunger strike if the government failed to make Gadwal town as new district. (NSS)
