Congress leaders complain against Sabitha

Hyderabad, April 26: Congress leaders of Ranga Reddy district led by K. Lakshma Reddy and G. Prasad Kumar, MLAs, complained to Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday that Home Minister P. Sabitha Reddy was ‘harassing’ Congress workers and leaders in the district and helping those from the TDP.

A delegation of party men told the Chief Minister that politically-motivated cases were being filed against Congress leaders and their followers.

One such instance was the foisting of a case under the SC (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against ZPTC member G. Pochi Reddy who was lodged in jail for 20 days. In another instance, three such cases were booked against another leader within a span of six months. Talking to reporters later, Mr. Lakshma Reddy and former Minister K. Rami Reddy said TDP leaders, on the other hand, were being helped.

“She is out to prop up the TDP at the cost of the Congress in the district,” Mr. Rami Reddy said.
