Congress indulges in dirty politics: KTR

Hyderabad: IT Minister KT Ramarao today launched a scathing attack on the Congress leaders for indulging in “dirty and cheap” politics.
Addressing the media at TRS Legislature Party Office here on Tuesday, KTR accused the Congress leaders like Digvijaya Singh, Jairam Ramesh and Uttam Kumar Reddy of misleading people on the schemes of the government. “The Congress party with 125 years of history is away from power for three years and was now resorting to cheap politics”, he alleged. KTR also said the Congress was adopting “loot, Jhoot and Scoot” policy only for political gain, he charged.
The IT Minister took serious exception to Digvijaya Singh for his comments that some of his close friends are involved in the infamous Drugs case. Singh’s comments are baseless and the Congress leaders are not ready to prove their allegations, he fumed. The Congress should abstain from making “useless and cheap” comments, he said and advised the former to show proof if they have on the drugs row.
He also warned Uttam Kumar Reddy of dire consequences if he continues to make baseless allegations against the government. He also refuted Jairam’s remarks of purchasing vehicles from Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu’s son’s Harsha Toyota company and KTR son’s Himanshu’s Toyota company for Police department against norms by not calling tenders.
As part of modernization of the police wing, the government purchased 300 Innova vehicles spending Rs 271 crore as per GDSND prices following norms, he said. The Centre and State governments are purchasing vehicles in a similar way, he said and found fault with the Congress leaders for trying to rake up an issue out of nothing. Even the previous Congress government did purchase vehicles with same norms, he pointed out.
KTR ridiculed the Congress leaders for planning to visit Sircilla on illegal sand mining and transportation. The government itself filed 200 cases on such cases and protecting the sand revenue which was a national asset, he said. The Congress government looted the sand revenues for eight years and now making allegations that the TRS Government was also looting the same, he fumed.
During 2007 to 2014 the congress government did not show sand revenue beyond Rs 10 cr as they indulged in looting spree he said. The TRS Government has got Rs 378 cr income through sand mining in 2015 and Rs 600 cr revenue this year. The minister slammed the congress leaders who are involved in CBI cases are attributing similar corrupt remarks against the present dispensation. The Congress regime resorted to kill the weavers by firing in Siricilla wherein the TRS Government is giving waters now. (NSS)
