Congress accuses Vijayamma of adopting double standards

Congress Party spokesperson N Tulasi Reddy on Thursday accused YSR Congress honorary president YS Vijayamma of adopting double standards on demise of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, he said that Vijayamma, who earlier claimed that YSR died due to bad weather, was now express doubts over the YSR’s death by alleging conspiracy theory. Though Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy asked Vijayamma to produce evidences to order a probe into helicopter crash, he said Vijayamma was unnecessarily dragging the controversy to get mileage in the by-elections.

Tulasi Reddy said that the people of State would not believe the claims of Vijayamma. Stating law would take its course, he said that the Congress party was in no way connected to the arrest of Jagan Mohan Reddy by the CBI. He reminded that it was Vijayamma who filed a petition in the court seeking CBI probe into Naidu’s assets. But now Vijayamma was claiming the arrest of her son Jagan as illegal, he said. (INN)
