Cong trying to protect Koda:BJP, Par disrupted

New Delhi, November 24: BJP today sought to raise in Parliament the alleged multi-crore scam involving former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda and said that Congress was “hand in glove” and was trying to protect him.

The main opposition raked up the issue disrupting proceedings leading to adjournments in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.

In the Lok Sabha, Shahnawaz Hussain (BJP) alleged that Congress leaders were hand-in-glove with the former Jharkhand Chief Minister and that Koda “has only got a small share of the entire money”. The Congress was trying to save Koda, he alleged.

The issue was raised in the afternoon and in the commotion, the Chair adjourned the House for 45 minutes.

In the Rajya Sabha, BJP member M Venkaiah Naidu wanted a discussion on the issue of corruption in Jharkhand.
