New Delhi, January 21: Yesterday Congress ruled out any quick-fix solution to Telangana issue in view of the recent violence on the issue in Andhra Pradesh and urged all the stake holders to maintain peace and harmony as a constitutional process to elicit views of all and generate consensus is under way.
Condemning the Osmania University incident and violence on Telangana issue, Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi told mediapersons here, ”We appeal to all people to maintain peace and harmony on Telangana issue. We would like to submit that it requires an act of statesmanship to rise above narrow personal choices and perform in the interest of the state and the nation. Each stakeholder, whichever party he belongs to, must make efforts to ensure that passion was not inflamed and violence prevented at all cost.”
