Confident that Chhattisgarh Govt. will secure state from Maoists: Rajnath Singh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said that he is confident that the Chhattisgarh Government will be successful in securing the state from the Maoist threat, assuring that the Centre will provide whatever assistance necessary for the same.

“I am happy in the way the Chhattisgarh government is working to rid the state of Naxals and the Centre will provide all assistance to the state government in their endeavours and I am sure that the state government will be successful in securing the region from Maoist attacks,” Rajnath Singh told the media, while visiting the Chintagufa village of the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh , accompanied by Chief Minister Raman Singh.

“I am confident that the state government will be successful in helping the districts plagued by Maoists in developing, and the Centre will help them in this. I also call on all tribals to give the Centre a chance to develop their areas and appeal to them to refrain from violence,” he added.

Earlier in the day, Rajnath Singh inaugurated a fortified police station in the Dronapal village of the Dantewada district in the state.
