Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao directed the officials to complete in expeditious manner the road works between LB Nagar and Miyapur. After inspecting the road works for 28 km stretch being developed as national highway he instructed to maintain quality for longevity. Of 28 km stretch so far repair works at 18 km stretch with Rs 42 cr were completed and the rest are going on. At few places the road is badly damaged due to Metro Rail works and heavy rains. Keeping this in view the officials are taking up the repair works only during nights as the day hours will add to traffic problems. The minister directed that the government is giving priority to the roads for better connectivity. The departments with coordination can complete the task of the remaining road works he said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed that the roads across the state should be developed and fine-tuned to reflect as mirror and pave way for smooth travel he added. (NSS)
