Gurdaspur: Security forces carried out combing operations in Bhule Chak village near Tibri camp in Gurdaspur on Thursday, after two civilians reported seeing two armed people hiding in the area.
According to sources, two locals who were on way to their house spotted two suspects hiding in a sugarcane field near village Pandher which is close to the Tibri cantonment. In their statement given to the police, the civilians informed that two unidentified people were in Army outfit, were wearing black glasses and were heavily armed.
Earlier, the police cordoned off the area and enforced a blackout in all villages within five-kilometre radius as the spot is a short distance away from the Pathankot air force base. (ANI)
