Chief Secretary SK Joshi today directed the Collectors to inspect the revenue records and ensure the crop investment cheques are distributed to the eligible farmers as planned. At a high level review meeting with the officials concerned here he said that the revenue officials should transfer land survey details to Agriculture department by March 28. He also asked to make necessary arrangements for smooth and hassle free distribution of the crop investment cheques. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch the distribution of the crop investment cheques on April 19. Prior to that the officials should see that the cheques kept ready in mandals and villages by March 15 he said. A mechanism to address related grievances should be made available and agriculture wing take steps for cheques distribution with printing. Details of land survey, accounts of the farmers be approved by Tahasildars and Collectors should check the veracity of the same.(NSS)
