Hyderabad: According to a press note issued by Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Director, Center for Educational Development of Minorities, Nizam College, Osmania University, a decision has been taken to select more coaching centers for sending minority candidates for getting training for Civil Service Examination. He consulted Mr. A.K.Khan, Advisor to Govt. for sending the II batch of candidates for getting coaching at various coaching centers.
In the first batch of candidates, 88 students were admitted in three private coaching centers namely RC Reddy, Hyderabad Study Circle and Brain Tree. These candidates took Civil Service Prelims Test on 18th June this year.
Govt. has decided to nominate three more coaching centers for this purpose. A three member committee consisting of Collector of Hyderabad, Mr. Rahul Bujja, IPS Officer, Mr. Shahnawaz Qasim and Mr. Jewil David has been constituted to identify coaching centers. This committee will submit its report before 27th June.
Prof. Sukhoor told that the objective of the enhancement of number of coaching centers is to ensure better results. He further told that for the first time in India, Telangana State has sponsored minority candidates for imparting coaching for civil service examination.
He further informed that 450 students had registered their names for the coaching facility, out of which 329 took the entrance test. 189 students from Hyderabad wrote the test. The results of the screening test would be announced on 3rd July and the coaching of the second batch of candidates will start on 15th July. The students have full freedom to choose the coaching center of their choice. Candidates belonging to districts will be paid stipend toward their maintenance expenses in the city.
