CM to take holy dip at Gondimalla in Palamur: Harish

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch the 12-day long holy Krishna Pushkaralu in two districts by formally taking dip at Gondimalla near Alampur in Mahabubnagar district on Aug 12 during morning hours. KCR will reach the site on Thursday night and take a holy bath at Gondimalla pushkar ghat on Friday morning. This was stated by Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today at a video conference from Secretariat here. Directing to release 22000 cusecs of waters every day downstream for pushkar ghats in the two districts, Harish asked the officials to avoid stampede and traffic problems by shifting the devotees to other places with fewer crowds at the pushkar ghats. Related works should be completed by Wednesday evening and update flow of devotees by coordinating with media information.

He asked to speed up arrangements to provide better amenities at all other pushkar ghats in the two districts. The officials informed that 52 bathing ghats are being arranged in Mahabubnagar expecting 2.50 cr devotees to throng and setting up 29 ghats in Nalgonda district wherein one crore people are expected to turn up for the holy pushkar festivities.Besides Krishna Pushkaralu he held review on inflows into Srisailam and SRSP and water needs for Kharif season and steps to be taken.

Seeking to know about the arrangements for the holy Krishna Pushkaralu in Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda districts and directed the collectors and other officials to work in tandem to ensure that the devotees coming in large numbers should get all facilities avoiding inconvenience. The government favours fool-proof arrangements for the holy pushkaralu.
