CM promises to route out drought

Promising to wipe out problems related to drinking water, irrigation water, roads and power in a time bound manner, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today exhorted the people to participate in the developmental programs in a big way.
Addressing a public meeting at Gajwel his home constituency, KCR criticized that the previous governments neglected the lakes and water bodies in towns and rural areas. However the TRS government will wipe out drought from Telangana by encouraging drip and sprinkler irrigation in a big way by involving people he said. The Government is committed to help farmers grow vegetables that reap in benefits with needed subsidies and ensure water table does not go dry he said. The CM also said that steps will be taken to address the grievances related to power, drinking water, irrigation, agriculture and other basic amenities.
The CM directed officials to take necessary measures to fulfill the promises being made by his government. Unless the people participate lakes will not get water to be given to standing crops he said. Wooing the farmers and people gathered he said that let us not await somebody to come and help he said. He asked the officials to take up immediately the works related to lakes restoration works, power needs, drinking water and others. (NSS)
