BJP played constructive role in TS Assembly: Lakshman

BJP floor leader in Telangana Assembly Dr K Laxman today said his party raised public issues in the budget session and played a constructive role.
Speaking to the media at party office here on Sunday, Laxman said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should keep his word as he gave assurances to the Opposition parties, particularly the BJP during the session on various issues, including providing jobs to unemployed educated youth, providing drinking water to each and every village in the State and Aasra pension scheme. He said KCR government should not continue to harp on Telangana sentiments now even after achieving separate state for Telangana.
The BJP leader also advised the ruling party to change its mindset and maintain political purity in the State. Laxman said his party was ready to extend support to ruling TRS on getting Central funds and other sanctions.
Of the 88-hour business in the Assembly, the ruling party members took 40 hours and the main Opposition Congress spoke for 18 hours and BJP members got only eight-and-a-half hours, he explained. (NSS)
