In the wake of government announcing schedule for Eamcet-3 as Eamcet-2 caught in the web of controversy for leakage and creating a furor across the State and High Court quashing the GOs 123 and 124 meant for acquiring land for Mallanna Sagar reservoir, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here.
KCR is learnt to have expressed displeasure over these developments as that come in the way of smooth governance and probably leaving a scar on the functioning of the TRS government. The Chief Minister’s visit to Raj Bhavan assumes significance as he welcomed Narasimhan for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s maiden visit to the State and to launch the piped drinking water project at Gajwel in Medak district on August 7.
The duo closeted for more than one hour and discussed various issues including current political scenario, protests by Opposition against the Mallanna Sagar and fresh verdict of the High Court cancelling the GOs for land acquisition. The Chief Minister is said to have expressed dismay as the HC order came at a time when six villagers under Mallanna Sagar came forward to give their lands while other victims are following suit. He also conveyed that the government announced Eamcet-3 on September 11 paving way for students to use old hall tickets, free bus facility and JNTU website with question papers and details for preparation. The Governor is learnt to have mollified KCR on the issues. (NSS)
