Hyderabad, April 15: The government will distribute about one lakh acres of land to the landless on April 14 and 15. Chief Minister K Rosaiah will launch the programme formally at Shadnagar in Mahaboobnagar district tomorrow.
Announcing this at a press conference here today, Revenue Minister D Prasada Rao said the programme was being launched on the occasion of the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar.
Along with land certificates, field measurement book sketch, pattadar passbook and other certificates will be provided so that farmers need not visit offices again and again for them. The title deed will be in the name of the housewife in order to provide protection to the family and prevent the land from being sold away.
