CM condemns acid attack on Nizamabad girl

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday strongly condemned the killing of a 15-year-old girl, who was allegedly attacked with acid by an unknown assailant at her home in Antampally village of Nizamabad district.

While condemning the incident, the Chief Minister directed the Nizamabad District Collector and Superintendent of Police to book cases against perpetrators of crime and make strong efforts to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.

According to reports, the victim, a class nine student, was reportedly at home with her family members when the incident took place.

Meanwhile the mother of victim claims that she was attacked by an unknown person, who faked his way into her room asking for water. The family reportedly found the victim in her room with her face burnt. She was shifted to the nearby Nizamabad hospital, where she succumbed to injuries.

The police have registered a case of suspicious death. The parents of the victim are being interrogated by the cops. According to police, there was a quarrel between the victim and her family last night over the company she kept. (INN)
