Questioning Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao why he was apathetic towards Gadwal, senior Congress leader and Gadwal MLA DK Aruna alleged that the Chief Minister kept the Gadwal aside with a grudge.

Speaking to the media at Assembly Media Hall here on Wednesday, Aruna said that it was not proper to the Chief Minister to keep the Gadwal aside in a review meeting stating that all 6,000 objections were came from a single person. She said that huge number of objections had come against the proposed Wanaparthy district. “Is it possible to lodge 6,000 appeals from a single person in online?”, she questioned the Chief Minister. She condemned the Chief Minister for speaking in a harmful manner against the self respect of others. Asking the Chief Minister to remember the words stated against Congress party and AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi, Aruna said that sentiment for Gadwal district was rising day by day in the people. It was not correct on the part of the government to create new districts for the sake of politics, she said and demanded the government to create new district for the benefit of the people and not for the benefit of the leaders.

Questioning the government to tell whether it had conducted any ‘grama sabha’ in creating new districts, Aruna said that the government has to create new district taking public opinion into consideration.

Former MP Mallu Ravi said that the Chief Minister conducted review meeting to implement draft on new districts neglecting objections raised by the people. He demanded the government to create new districts in a democratic manner by preparing rules and regulations. The Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav was speaking with power mania against the Congress leaders saying that he will tear the tongue of the leaders, he said. (NSS)
