Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Mahendar Reddy said that the state government has made all arrangements for the Ganesh Chaturthi set to begin next week. Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, the Police Commissioner said that elaborate security arrangements have been made for the annual fest and the police was installing CCTVs at the Ganesh pandals which would be connected to a central control room.
The Police Commissioner said that over 40,000 idols are being installed across the city as part of the Ganesh fete. The police chief said that traffic restrictions were in place at major places in the city that would come into force from September 7 for Ganesh immersion. (INN)
