Hyderabad, October 15: The Telangana Advocates’ Joint Action Committee has called for five-day bandh of Andhra Pradesh High Court from October 17 to 21.
Speaking to mediapersons here today, the Advocates JAC convener, Mr M. Rajender Reddy, said that the employees of the High Court have extended their full support and would be joining the strike. He appealed to the Seemandhra judges, advocates and judiciary employees to extend their support to the strike.
Mr Rajender Reddy said that judicial and administrative works in the High Court will come to a halt on October 17. The advocates of twin cities will take out ‘Chalo High Court’ rally on October 18. During the complete bandh, cultural programs like “Dhoom Dham” will be held on October 19 from 4 pm on the High Court premises. Similarly, a ‘Vanta- Varpu’ program will be held on October 20 on the High Court premises.
On the last day, “Chalo High Court” by advocates of twin cities will be held on October 21.
The JAC co-convener, Mr Satyam Reddy, criticized the Centre for not introducing Telangana Bill in Parliament even as the ongoing “Sakala Janula Samme” (All people’s strike) entered second month. He said that they would chalk out their future course of action if the Centre failed to announce separate Telangana State.
