New Delhi, May 19: Yet again girls outshone boys with better pass percentages in the Class-X and Class-XII boards exams this year conducted by Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
While the pass rate of students in Class-XII was 97.11 per cent, up by 0.03 per cent from last year, the pass percentage is 98.31 in Class-X which is 0.26 per cent more than last year, the board announced today.
There were 55,760 candidates in Class-XII while 1,12,820 students took the test in Class-X ICSE exam held in March.
The pass percentage of girls in Class-X was 98.77 per cent against 97.95 of boys. Similarly, the pass rate of girls stands at 98.26 per cent in Class-XII while it is 96.17 per cent in case of boys.
The topper positions in both the classes have also been attained by girls with the Class-X topper securing 98.80 per cent aggregate marks.
