MP Kavitha today paid rich tributes to noted Oggu Katha Artiste Chukka Sathaiah at Janagam who died on Thursday.
She came to the village of Sathaiah and paid floral tributes to the departed soul before conducting the final rites. Speaking on the occasion the TRS MP said that his death caused a void to Telangana. She recalled the services of the Artiste who spent his entire life for the Oggu Katha and name to Telangana state and spread its name across the country. Kavitha said that it is good to see that kin of the artiste also following the same art.
The government will take steps to propagate the legacy of Chukka Sathaiah for future generations and provide all help to the artistes in the state. The government is ready to take steps to encourage the artistes and bring out latent talent various art forms that lost the sheen Kavitha added.
