Chiranjeevi kicks off ”united Andhra solidarity tour”

Tirupati, December 19: After resigning from the State Assembly and changing his party agenda on separate Telangana in support of the united Andhra sentiment in Hyderabad two-days back, Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) President K Chiranjeevi kicked off his ”united Andhra solidarity tour” today.

To give a momentum to the united Andhra movement, actor-turned politician Chiranjeevi, who arrived in his Tirupati Assembly constituency from Hyderabad, went to the Tirumala hills, where he offered worship at Venkateswara Swamy temple for the success of the united Andhra movement.

After darshan, the PRP Chief, who faced criticism from his party’s Telangana MLAs over changing his stand on social justice for the Telangana region, motored down to Tirupati where he started the tour programme.

Later, he observed a hunger strike along with party leaders at a camp erected near the Town Club in the city.

Expressing solidarity in support of united Andhra, Chiranjeevi also visited various hunger strike camps organised by TTD Employees Union, students and many social groups at various locations in the city, including Chandragiri, Renigunta and Srikalhasti.
