Beijing, August 10: China will launch a communications satellite for Pakistan at an “appropriate time”, an official said Wednesday.

A spokesman for the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China’s Sichuan province said the satellite, the PAKSAT-1R, will be carried by a Long March-3B carrier rocket.

Both the satellite and rocket are currently in good condition, Xinhua quoted the spokesperson as saying.
