Raipur, January 12: College and university teachers in Chhattisgarh will be paid UGC-prescribed salaries, the Government told the Assembly today.
The new pay-scale will be paid with retrospective effect from January 1, 2006, Chief Minister Raman Singh said in the House.
The arrears, amounting to Rs 234 crore, will be paid in two instalments, he said.
