Chaos reigns in AP assembly

Hyderabad, March 06: Chaos reigned supreme for most part of the day in the Andhra Pradesh assembly today with the opposition parties stalling the proceedings on different issues.

The main opposition TDP succeeded in forcing the government and the Speaker to continue the general discussion on the state budget after the Chair announced in the House yesterday that the discussion ended without the mandatory reply by the chief minister.

The TDP members were on their feet right from the word go this morning and demanded that the general discussion on budget be continued and the chief minister be asked to give his reply.

As Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy did not heed, the TDP members rushed into the Well of the House forcing the first adjournment. They demanded that the Assembly Business Advisory Meeting be convened to discuss the issue.
