Tribal Welfare and Tourism Development Minister A Chandulal today began several developmental programs worth Rs 2.11 crore in Mulugu division of Warangal district.
Laying foundation stone for a 33/11 kv sub station at Bhupalnagar at a cost of Rs 1.48 cr he said that on completion the facility will help the farmers relying on wells in a big way. He asked the officials to complete the sub statin works in two months and supply timely power to the farming community in the division. The officials should work to build confidence among the people by speedy completion of works and the latter should together get the problems resolved he said. He asked the officials to procure land for construction of a storage house for preserving farm products. He also said that the government is implementing many welfare schemes including fine rice to hostels, pensions and double bedroom houses for the poor and completing irrigation projects to ensure timely irrigation of crops. He also said that arrangements were made for Medaram Sammakka and Sarakka Jatara. (NSS)
