Central Government on Wednesday announced an interim relief of Rs. 100 crore for the drought hit areas of Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons after receiving a representation from the Telangana Ministers and MPs, Union Agriculture Minister Radhe Mohan Singh said that Rs. 100 crore would be released to the State on immediate basis under National Disaster Relief Fund. Further assistance will be provided on the receipt of detailed report on drought affected mandals in the State.
Radhe Mohan Singh also informed that the Centre has approved Horticulture University for Telangana State. He said he himself will participate in the foundation stone laying ceremony on January 7 in Gajwel of Medak district. (INN)
