Hyderabad, January 07: The 14th Addtional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate K Sudhakar today extended the judicial remand of all the nine accused in the Satyam scam till January 20. Except the main accused B Ramalinga Raju, who was in hospital, the rest of the accused, B Ramaraju, Vadlamani Srinivas, S Gopalakrishnan, Talluri Srinivas, Ch Srisailam, D Venkatapathy Raju, G Ramakrishna and VS Prabhakar Gupta were produced before the Magistrate. The Magistrate asked the CBI to frame the chargesheet on Jan 20.
The CBI wanted to frame the chargesheet against all the accused today, but the counsel for Ramalinga Raju complained that his client did not receive the copy of the chargesheet as he was in hospital. The Magistrate had asked Ramalinga Raju’s counsel to receive the copy on behalf of his client. Asked for some more time, the Magistrate had asked the CBI counsel to frame the chargesheet on Janaury 20. The CBI was framing charges against the accused under Sections, 120(d), 409, 420, 467, 468, 477 and 477 (a) under the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
