Hyderabad, March 25: The Income Tax sleuths during their two-day raids on the residences of Tollywood personalities, Nagarjuna, Anushka and Ravi Teja, found wads of currency, gold and land deeds in their respective houses.
Nag and Anushka were in Hyderabad, while Ravi Teja was away in Vizag for the shoot of a film. According to the IT sources, land documents, gold and silver jewelry, and wads of currency notes were found. The IT department will issue notices to the stars seeking an explanation for the undisclosed transactions and land holdings.
Sources said that Nagarjuna owns valuable land of about 75 acres worth around Rs 1000 crores in the city outskirts such as Gopanpally and Kokapeta. Anushka was also questioned for holding about 500 yards of plot at Bhimili beach near Vizag. Ravi Teja`s 300 yards near Vizag worth around Rs 3 crores is also under scrutiny.
The IT sleuths felt that most Tollywood personalities rushed to Vizag to own plots after the Telangana turmoil. But, most of them had not disclosed their transactions and legal action would be contemplated against them.
