Cabinet meets over price rise, PM assures for action

New Delhi, January 13: The UPA government met today to discuss the price rise as its soars in all the basic needs in manifolds. The food products have draw line over the forehead of policy makers and now the Prime minister has stepped in to handle the situation and assured to his allies in the government that action will be taken to curb it.

Allies like Trinmool has raised its concern and asked Prime Minister to take some initiative in the context. The government is likely to extend the deadline of sugar import to make feasible for the Indian market to access. Some other options are also under scanner like more wheat will be open to the market.
