Bypolls don’t impact Telangana row: JAC

Hyderabad, June 30: The steering panel of the Telangana Joint Action Committee has warned the people of the region not to expect too much from the coming elections and reminded them it would not be the deciding factor for a separate State.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Akula Bhoomaiah, a member of the committee, said: “There is a conspiracy on the part of the State and Central governments and other inimical forces to finish off the Telangana movement.

Even the Srikrishna committee was constituted to do this. “The only way we can get Telangana is to keep the people’s movement strong,” he stressed.

“Political parties who have ignored the appeal not to field candidates against those who had resigned for the cause last time, need to be taught a lesson,” Bhoomaiah said.
