Karachi, October 09: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ejaz Butt has expressed displeasure over the comments made by senior Sindh minister Muhammad Ali Shah, who accused India of influencing umpires to get the country ousted from Champions Trophy semifinal.
“It is true that one or two decisions didn’t go in our favour. But we can’t protest because the International Cricket Council works under a system which all the member boards, including Pakistan have accepted,” Butt said on his return from South Africa yesterday.
Butt said that the ICC had its own system of holding an inquiry if there was some glaring umpiring mistakes in a match and Pakistan was one of those countries who have accepted the system.
