Hyderabad, May 12: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has ordered the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) for speedy completion of the inter-city bus terminal at Miyapur. The new facility will have 200 bus bays for outstation buses and 30 for city buses.
During a meeting with HMDA officials, he also approved plans for development of truck terminals at Batasingaram and Mangalapally. Officials also briefed the chief minister on development of the YSR Memorial opposite the I-Max. He also directed officials to speed up the Outer Ring Road projects.
Kiran Kumar Reddy also discussed drafting of the extended area Master Plan of the HMDA and suggested earmarking of a green belt. The Master Plan covers an area of 5,965 sq km which includes the HMDA limits, ORR growth corridor, HUDA area and Hyderabad Airport Development Authority among other areas. The plan, afte approval, will be placed before the public for objections and suggestions.
Officials also informed about progress of the Hussainsagar Lake and Catchment Area Improvement Project.
