Bundelkhand Mukti Morcha to approach apex court for separate state

Chitrakoot, December 16: Bundelkhand Mukti Morcha (BMM), fighting for the creation of a separate Bundelkhand state comprising 15 districts of UP and MP, today started its 300 kilometer Padyatra to press for its demand.

BMM president and cinestar Raja Bundela commenced the 17-day Padyatra from Kamtanath temple in the city and said it will end on January 1 at Khajuraho in MP.

Demanding creation of Bundelkhand along with Telangana, Bundela said their agitation for Bundelkhand state would be peaceful and will continue till it was accepted.

Thousands of people mostly youths joined the Padyatra in the city and they raised ‘Jai Bundelkhand’.

Bundela called upon the youths to join the Padyatra to demand for the new state as this will be the only option for an all round development of the region.

” Financial packages would not at all help the region and the people to end their miseries and only a seperate state could fulfill the peoples ‘aspiration,” he said to the gathering.
