BSP targeting opposition activists: Uttar Pradesh BJP

Lucknow, June 05: Uttar Pradesh BJP today claimed that the law and order situating in the state was “deteriorating” and the opposition activists were being targeted by the government.

State unit vice president Hriday Narain Dixit said a delegation led by new BJP state president Surya Pratap Shahi handed over a memorandum to Governor B L Joshi in this regard.

Claiming that cases of intimidation of opposition workers, including of BJP, were on a rise, the leaders alleged that police was being misused under the BSP rule to crush people’s agitation and to frame fake cases against BJP leaders and workers taking part in them.

Through the memorandum the party sought Joshi’s intervention and requested him to send his report to the Centre in this regard, he said.
